I'll admit to having done some of these things for years. I used to wear denim shorts that were more patches than anyother fabric, and I would cut up old skirts and shirts that were too ragged to wear any more to make patterns.

Braided rugs? I did that as a child, might do it again.

Quilts? I mean to someday and have loads of old scraps from my theatrical costuming days.
