Apologies to John Donahue and Ebay-ers
In my anger and frustration about Ebay's upcoming changes I referred to Ebay and the people who opposed the boycott "greedy pigs" and referred to Ebay as a Republican corporation.
I wish to apologize for anyone here who I may have offended and to CEO John Donahue, who is in fact an Obama donor. I do not offer any apologies to Romney supporter and outgoing CEO Meg Witman, who is looking to run for California Governor as a Republican. As she is still the CEO of Ebay, I hold her responsible for the changes that will most likely turn Ebay into an online Walmart.

2. here's a graph of number of auctions this month
http://www.medved.net/cgi-bin/cal.exe?EIND

The big hump in the middle is when eBay had a 20-cent listing day (or was it even less than 20 cents? I can't remember), then as the auctions ended, the numbers dropped off for a little while. It was very strategic of eBay to announce that sale when they did, though they say it had nothing to do with the boycott.

If you look at "All Data," you can see they've been trending at about 14 million auctions for the last three years. It appears they've reached some kind of threshold and have held steady. I'll be curious to see whether, in the long run, the numbers slowly trend downward.
