6. There's a "Claude Conover" who made pottery
He's listed in the Cleveland School of pottery makers. http://www.markbassett.com/cleveland_school.htm

That's all I can find so far. But I can't find a makers mark for him.

8. It looks familiar to me, too
Why not ask Scott Lindberg at the Ars Longa blog. scott@sllab.net
He collects everything Mid Century and seems like a nice guy from his blog entries.

9. I've seen that pottery and I've seen the mark, but nothing is hitting me.
I wonder if it might be CI Co. instead of CC something. I love a mystery!
