Okay, my CURRENT fantasy:
The race stays deadlocked.

The party chooses a third candidate.

Joe is the best, but there's concern because his initial turnout wasn't high -- can he do it?

Yes, as we know, once you listen to him....and once you see him debate the Rep nom, Dems and Reps would both be falling all over themselves to vote for him.

So how to get him the recognition he needs? Obama as VP!

What do you think of my brilliant idea?

(Although I don't know if any of this is even possible according to the "rules" - but it's my fantasy and I love it!)

1. All of the Bidenites here share in your fantasy.
We're so hard pressed for a candidate that truly stands for something, that we search for it. We keep trying to give the remaining candidates a 10th or 12th chance to impress us, all to no avail. I'm not sure on the Math and how that would work. I think Edwards still has his delegates, although I don't know how many there are. With super delegagtes, who knows what might happen at the convention. They very well could be the ones to decide everything.

3. Yes, it's brilliant
It's my fantasy too, gately. While I'm not exactly sure what can or will happen at the convention, I think Joe would definitely be considered as someone who can bring everyone together. I'm so glad he hasn't endorsed anyone precisely for this reason. Now that McCain is certainly the GOP nominee, the party might realise just how strong and perfect Joe is to bury him. Yes, agree, Biden/Obama truely is the winning ticket.

Of course, it might not happen, but it's nice to think about :)

Maybe on another plane of existence, but I'm not too confident about this one.

7. Speaking of fantasies....
Last night I had a dream where Joe was giving me a ride somewhere. I think I worked for him in some capacity.

Anyway, he was driving and there were three of us mushed into the front seat (Joe, me in the middle, and -- I think it was YOU, tsegat! -- by the passenger door.

Joe was clearly focused on something - and I had a stack of papers in my hands, so it was as though we were preparing for a speech or something -- NOT a leisurely drive through beautiful Delaware.

So Joe rests his hand on my leg, and I'm thinking "My GOD -- don't lose it gateley" and nearly swooned anyway. He wasn't even aware of it -- it would be where he would normally rest his hand while driving if he didn't have the front seat full of people.

Then, continuing talking and focusing, his hand came back up to the wheel and that's it.

:)
