So TONIGHT I phoned

the Dems who voted NO on Cloture to thank them for being one of the few who stood up and did the right thing.

(I'm becoming the Martha Mitchell of DU! :eyes:)

Anyway, when I was calling them yesterday and I'd get a voice mail -- quite a few of the Senators themselves gave the voice mail message. (Obama's was funny -- Hi. This is Barack Obama, Senator from Illinois -- like the caller wouldn't know who he was without the clarification.)

Anyway, my heart was going a mile a minute waiting for Joe's phone system to pick up -- I thought -- What if it's JOE? What if I hear his voice talking in MY EAR? I was really really excited, but it was a staffer on the message. :(

He'd better hope I never get his home number. :7

When I called Casey recorded his own message, but Specter had a staffer record his, interesting.
