phenom between the Hillary-ites and Hillary haters. That both sides feel so STRONGLY about a person that entire LONG multiple threads are devoted to name calling and viciousness every single day... It's fascinating.

than 50 recommends, by Nimrod2005 where he claims Hillary is a fake. That one is really radical. Same crowd showed up to bash him severely and anyone who agreed with him. Hell, I had to recommend as it seemed to really irritate the Hillary people by the rec. I can't decide if some of these people are just plain angry at the world or drunk or...... Then there was the Clark post where he had recommended Hillary. Are the post tonight worse than usual or do I just miss them?

If she brings out these kinds of feeling on DU imagine what the main event would be like across this country.

Unfortunately it is probably true. It would be a long, nasty campaign.

other people's opinions for better or worse. When supporters behave that way, people quit hearing what they say. It is human nature to become defensive if you feel you're being attacked or talked down to.

and the more threads I see that crow about her polling or fundraising, or that accuse those that don't support her of being sexist or stupid make me even more determined I won't support her. To me, the behavior of the supporters IS a reflection on the cadidate. I know that Sen. Clinton didn't personally call some of these individuals on DU and encourage them to behave like immature asshats, but that is the impression that it leaves with me.
And it's not just on DU, my neighbor and I were just discussing this morning interludes we've had personally with Hillary supporters. When my neighbor said she was not planning on supporting Clinton, the woman very nastily said "Why? Because she has a vagina?!" Tacky.
My experience was when I told the canvasser that I was not a supporter of Clinton because of her IWR vote, NAFTA, her ridiculous health care plan, and her loyalty to corporations (to name a few reasons) he said to me "Well maybe someday you can stop letting your husband think for you!"

I can't believe he said that to you! How rude.

The supporters behavior to me reflects on their judgment. The primarily rave about her fundraising and poll numbers, but only give the issues soundbites and blanket statements.

with so much vitriol coming from the Hillary camp, I have to wonder what it is about the Senator that appeals to them, or brings that venom out.
Now, to be fair, I have seen plenty of nastiness from the Obama camp too...plenty.
