A friend and I go get one occasionally, and with every bite we're moaning "Oh, God, Oh God". Almost orgasmic.

So I decided against the Reuben because where I went last night, I was bound to be thinking "This isn't nearly as good as McKinley's" with every bite.

I'll have to give 'ol Lois a call....

and in fact, I had tacos for dinner. Mexican food is my fav. Ever. But then I did grow up in Arizona and NM. :-)

And I'm sorry I did. It was great, but I'm STIlL stuffed - ate WAY too much.

I'm thinking tacos tonight, maybe, Senorita Corona.

It was quite the adjustment, going from San Antonio Tex-Mex to Northern New Mexican. But I managed fine :9

They're both good in their own right and either of them right now would be preferable to ANY of these "Mexican" places I've encountered here out east!

but I was practically weened on mexican food too. I have the stomach problems to prove it now, LOL. But, I eat something mexican, I'd say, just about every day. I make it myself, and some of what I make, I have modified to prepare in less than 10 minutes. Like my enchiladas. Oh, and I'm a cheeseaholic.:-)

I start with 2-3 corn tortillas, depending on how hungry I am, spray them with canola oil, front and back--lightly, nuke them for about 1.5 minutes, grate the cheese, chop up the onions, prepare the sauce, open a can of sliced black olives, and I'm ready to go.

I roll up the tortilla, with the cheese and onion inside, cover it with the red sauce, add a shitload of cheese to the top, and a ton of olives. Pop it in the micro, and nuke it for 3.5 minutes. While it's in there, I shred some lettuce, chop a tomato, and presto. It's dinner. :-)

They're not as good as if they were made in the oven, but close.

Oh yeah, mexican food here in Florida is week too...only one place I have found, and even then, it's not perfect, but just OK.
