Today Joe traveled to Sterling, Virginia for a Women's Rally for Change. Quincy Lucas, whose sister was tragically killed in a domestic violence incident, introduced Joe. Joe was joined on stage by some of the women in his life -- his wife Jill, sister Valerie and adorable granddaughter Finnegan.

As Jill Biden shared a few words about her husband's character, Joe hugged his granddaughter and beamed at his wife.

The crowd of seven hundred who made the trip to beautiful Claude Moore Park listened intently to Joe speak about the important issues and challenges women face today.

In the 'olden days' (10 + years ago,) the school my daughters attended had (may still have) an annual overnight excursion to Claude Moore Park, wherein they (parents visited for supper) learned about and participated in the Colonial style; got a picture of one of us churning butter!
