So today on MTP and on FTN
it was said that we will have to raise taxes.

Bloomberg was on MTP and was asked directly about Joe's patriotism comment and Bloomberg didn't say he agreed or disagreed - but - then went on to say that it needs to be done.

On FTN is was Shelby, a repug, that said taxes need to be raised in one way or another.

Seriously - we just added another trillion to the deficit, how could we not?

Once again - Joe was right!

I can't wait until this comes up in the Dem debate. ;)
McCain/Palin could say all they want that they won't raise taxes, but they would have to.

1. We have to raise taxes - question is on who pays more, and who gets more program cuts. nt

2. I was at a friend's house so actually got to watch MTP.
First of all, it fried me that Brokaw misquoted Joe and said "Biden says it's patriotic to pay MORE taxes" -- which is what McCain's camp says he said, but he didn't. Not in that way, anyway.

Bloomberg said "I talked to Joe Biden last year and he didn't say anything like that." So Brokaw says "well he said it recently." Again, Bloomberg said "I've heard he said that, but I didn't hear what he said". Something like that, indicating he wasn't going to comment on a statement out of context.

He also mentioned talking to Obama the other day. No mention of talking to McCain. :7 Of course, McCain doesn't need to seek input/advice from Bloomberg - he's got Gramm. :eyes:

Sooo, my impression is he's leaning toward (if not already decided) O & Joe.

This is the first time I've ever listened to him, and I liked him. Now I understand why some people here were suggesting him for O's VP.

3. My dad (who is Jewish) says 'Jews don't do Creationists'
I've heard this from others on TV too. (Hilary Rosen said is on Hairball this week)

No way in HELL that Bloomberg goes for McPain/Failin.
