CNN really sucks
They just ran a piece on Joe Biden and his "gaffes", are they "hurting the Obama campaign". At least the man has a brain and is allowed to speak, unlike Palin, miss scripted. (BTW did you see her smiling like a ding bat while talking to KARZAI, what an idiot).

Among the gaffes cited:

The comment about the Obama ad on McCain's use of technology. Okay, this is a gaffe, in the sense that he should probably have kept this to himself, but give the Obama campaign manager hell in private. However, this was one older candidate suggesting we shouldn't be making attack ads against another candidate based on his computing skills. Really, this ad bothered me as well. I have two elderly parents, one is on email and the internet(s) all the time, computers don't intimidate her (although I'm constantly fixing her computer, she knows just enough to be dangerous). I have another parent that would just as soon use a computer as a door stop. It does not make one less intelligent than the other.

I thought the ad was rude and I'm sure Joe did too. There is plenty of stuff to attack McCain about, his lack of use of a personal computer is not one of them (he has staff for that). I know plenty of professionals that don't use the computer, they let their personal assistant handle all that stuff. Attack Palin for using email un-ethically, that is fair, but not someone of a certain generation who did not get comfortable using a computer. Trust me, I know many, not just of a certain generation either, as I've been a system administrator, now a developer for 18 years, that don't have a clue when it comes to a computer, internet or email. In fact, I would argue that the MAJORITY of the population isn't all the comfortable using a computer, email or the internet. The ad was stupid, and didn't serve any purpose other than to piss off anyone who isn't comfortable with computer use.

Joe shouldn't have said what he did, but he was right (as usual). IT was a bad ad, and made the Obama camp look like a bunch of snot-nosed kids laughing at older folks. I'll bet Joe isn't a computer wiz, does that make him not fit to be VP or P? Palin can sure use a computer, selling a plane on ebay, forwarding all her state emails to her yahoo account, does that make her smart? But the fucking media will just take it out of context, not talk about the stupidity of the ad (which is now pulled). No, they will just say Biden made another gaffe. That is the thing, Biden has integrity, if he thinks something is wrong, he'll say it, not because McCain is his friend, but because he knows it was an insult to all who don't use a computer comfortably (or at all). I mean really, OMG, he criticized his side, stop the presses, HE MUST be in lock step with Obama all the time. I'm so sick of shit like this!

1. Yeah, they're eating that one up and loving it. As for hurting the Obama campaign
that's ludicrous. Somebody who was supporting Obama won't all of a sudden turn against him because Biden said that. :eyes:

What other gaffes are they bring up -- because I can't think of any more than any of them have made (including Obama).

Oh, sorry - it was the AIG comment (we should not bail out).

On edit - they also talked about the "Biden Gaffe" internet clock or whatever posted by the repukes.

6. Sooooo lame. Whatever.
Almost have to pity them - no other news to cover? Is this their idea of heard hitting journalism? They're jokes. (Until they praise Joe, then I change my tune on a dime! :7) :hi:

2. I'm glad I missed it. Joe has made maybe 2 gaffes since he's been
the vp candidate - and they were nothing.
Yet MCCAIN makes gaffes on a daily basis.
And Palin - omg - she is totally muzzled...yet she lies constantly, and then says stupid stuff like the economy needs some fixin and shakin up. She's a piece of work.

It's like the only time CNN covers Joe is to give him negative press.

Is Joe Biden a drag on the Democratic ticket?

But Palin isn't?

10. To CNN
Nice hit job on Joe Biden and his "gaffes" this evening. I'll be waiting to see your negative report on Sarah Palin and her campaign mis-spelling Kissinger in their statement after she met and smiled for world leaders today. At lease Joe Biden will talk to the press! I have a different take, how about the fact that Barack Obama has a running mate who is NOT AFRAID to disagree with him and can articulate different positions. Hey, that is refreshing after 8 years of Cheney/Bush, or is it Bush/Cheney, I always get them mixed up. Maybe you should ask Carly Fiorina about how McCain treats those who disagree with him on an issue are treated by his campaign.

7. What is going on with the media?
There is so much negativity towards Joe out there.

Tonite on Countdown, Matt Lauer asked Obama if Joe is a drag on the ticket, and wouldn't he have been better off picking Hillary.

11. Maybe they're frustrated because
they can't get at Palin, so they're taking it out on Joe.

13. Yep and Obama said?
He was proud of his choice. This is nothing new, the press only covered negative things about Joe when he was running for president. Obama is up in the polls so the media is after him through Joe.

9. None of these are gaffes. None have legs among those who think
about how they'll vote. That's the Idiot's opinion.

12. I just emailed all of the news fuckers...
and copied them on what I sent to the AP about Biden's not-so-much gaffe about FDR. I think they all need a hisroty lesson.
