Saw the briefest snip of Joe in GA, talking to people about getting them help

NOW. As always, he was talking TO the people, and you could feel his sincerity and determination and commitment. He was in a Polo shirt, casual. The important thing is being there for them, not how he looks.

I think it was brilliant and wonderful and just the right thing to do to send him in to show that this administration CARES.

to talk health care. Obama is impressive, but Joe is down-to-earth and more accessible. He can reach people in ways most politicians can't. He emanates sincerity.

almost as though he was part of the Red Cross (who he was there with, he looked like). Those people must be so relieved that after this horrific devastation, their government is THERE and DOING something to help, rather than being virtually ignored like NOLA and elsewhere. Like they have a friend who cares in the White House (no birthday cake for John McCain today!)

3. He has a way of conveying things

in a simple and sincere way. His approach seems to basic and obvious, but evidently few politicians know how to do it. I remember Bush in New Orleans saying, "Whatever it takes......." and I thought "bullshit, we've heard that before".
