And Clinton was President during prosperous, peaceful times.

I just can't believe this... then again...the media sure has painted a cartoon character of Joe.

1. Oh that's pathetic

and I blame all the assholes in the media who portrayed him as a joke for so many months and the image stuck. The average person is totally unaware of all his accomplishments in his first year as VP, because the media tends to ignore them. I feel certain this will change as time goes by.

It's not even that they'll make fun of him because he was out and about and actually did something wrong. They'll just invent things.

4. His accomplishments as VP have been extraordinary

but until the Newsweek article, they went unreported by the MSM. My admiration for him has just grown as he hasn't let all the bogus reporting deter him from a job he clearly loves and is very good at. I was glad to see the administration change its attitude and quit encouraging the dumb "gaffe" image.

He stays out of the public eye and he STILL catches it. It's cheap humor.

Someone on DU was pushing that bullshit poll last week. Cheney had sixty or so percent but left office less popular than gonorrhea.
