3. Yeah!!!! My two favorites!! Hey did anyone watch Jon Stewart last nite?

I love Jon Stewart - have his show on my dvr so I will never miss. He does an amazing job of cutting thru the bs - BUT -
he really has it out for Biden. Last nite he was trying to pin Biden with the "Recovery Summer" label and what a failure that was.

I remember not too long ago he said something nasty about Joe and people in the audience booed him.

Wonder what his problem is with Biden? Jon - stick to attacking Faux and leave our VP alone!

4. He's said he is NOT a political analyst - he's a comedian, but he really presents
the political climate better than almost anybody else. He may just be using Joe/recovery as a joke??? But whatever, I'm glad he was booed!

I never watch him, I always forget and I really need to DVR it every day. I know Pat is a pretty rabid watcher so I'm sure she's seen it. Where is she, by the way? Haven't seen her around? Is she on the Farm? (I'm being serious, not snarky)

9. Thanks for the link - I didn't even think to check out her site. I was looking
at the closeup of the cannonball, noticing the wallpaper behind it, and wondering if Joe and Jill have "redone" the place after Cheney left. In addition to fumigating, of course.

23. You know, it just comes through with Joe so obviously that he CARES. I'm sure
the others do as well, but they're pretty reserved about it. We do love seeing that passion. I think it means a lot to people.

19. I was thinking Joe probably really enjoyed it, too -- actually being asked intelligent
questions, having his answers LISTENED to, and yucking it up every once in a while. I thought "he should hire her" but I think we need her out here more.

do you think his office arranged this, or did Rachel extend the invite?

The more I think about it the more I think the WH may have set it up -- smart thinking on their part if so. Reaching the base.

21. I think the White House set it up
With the Mid-terms coming up, they need to reach their liberal base, which has become apathetic lately. They probably thought Rachel was the best way to go. I think it was an excellent choice, but a good time slot.

22. It's so reassuring to know they're obviously LISTENING. Sometimes I worry
that our concerns don't get THROUGH to them -- they are in such a bubble. I've often thought I hope Obama watches Rachel, KO and Ed to get a first hand exposure to the base's positions rather than just getting the info through his people.

28. Did you see last week (?) when Rachel interviewed Melissa Harris-Lacewell?
Melissa was praising Joe for his ability to connect with the middle class, saying he's like your crazy uncle, the one that will say what everyone else is thinking. Melissa was giving Biden lots of love. I'm wondering if that had something to do with it.

Rachel has an amazing ability to get all the best interviews. I love that lady!!

30. Yeah - I heard that. But of course I don't agree with the "crazy uncle" - it made
it seem like every time Joe opened his mouth people had to hold their breath until they were sure what he said wasn't "crazy". Part of the Joe meme, but I understand she was praising him. I think I'm too reactionary to any reference to anything gaffe-related.

25. I just love him - more now than ever. He is so good at getting his point across.
The Republicans will drive us off a cliff...Gear Up, Man.

lol - that along with his oldies like being facetious, and I mean literally, not figuratively. Man!

He's the best communicator this administration has - other than Obama. But with Obama it's on a whole different level. He is so much more reserved than Joe, as he should be since he is the President :)
