Proof of Terrorist Plot in Bolivia

La Paz, May 12 (Prensa Latina) Attorney Marcelo Sosa, head of the
investigation of the dismantled terrorist group from Santa Cruz,
Bolivia, revealed new evidence about the case, state Radio Patria
Nueva station reported on Tuesday.

The judicial authority based his opinion on the results of the
partial ballistic and atomic absorption tests, applied to the corpses
of Bolivian-Croatian Eduardo Rozsa, Romanian Magyarosi Arpad and
Irishman Michael Dwayer, all members of the cell who died while
resisting arrest.

According to the tests, carried out by the Forensic Investigation
Institute, all bodies had gun powder remains on their hands.

Sosa highlighted that the evidence is at the disposal of the defense
attorneys of Bolivia for Mario Francisco Tadic Astorga (a Bolivian
with a Croatian passport) and Hungarian El d Toaso, both accused of
terrorism and being held under preventive detention in the Bolivian
capital.

Although the attorney general gave no further details, police sources
told Cambio daily that the tests revealed that cell members opened
fire during the operation, which was dismantled on April 16.

This evidence contradicts the theory by opposition deputies, who are
simultaneously carrying out an investigation into the case.

According to previous results from the official investigation, the
mercenaries had plans to assassinate President Evo Morales and other
leaders, with the intention of dividing the country.
