Mel Martinez calls on Obama to "halt any further diplo outreach" to Cuba
Here we go.

"Feds say 2 spied for Cuba; Martinez asks Obama to scrap talks

Mel Martinez is calling on President Barack Obama to "halt any further diplomatic outreach" to Cuba in the wake of the arrest of a former State Department employee with top secret clearance accused of spying for the island government for nearly 30 years.

Martinez said any overtures to Cuba, including the resumption of migration talks should be postponed "until the U.S. Congress has a full accounting of the damage these individuals have caused to our national security.

“This is a stark reminder that just 90 miles from our shores, there is a government hostile toward the people of the United States, a regime that seeks to do us harm and works against our interests around the world," he said."

1. Mel Martinez is a crook, and a liar. Flat out.
.. there is a government hostile toward the people of the United States, a regime that seeks to do us harm..

Yeah, that's why Cuba has demonstrated its hostility with its extra territorial sanctions on the US - to harm the American people.

With this statement, Martinez (an abused Pedro Pan victim) exemplifies the transference so common among repugs and RW exiles.

2. They're running scared, apparently, to try something this foolish.
Speak for yourself, Mel. Cuba's no threat to me, any more than a mouse would be to an elephant. Holy swear words, these "exiles" seem to believe we'll swallow ANYTHING they tell us. They haven't caught on, yet, that the US government's support of them at any point was purely impersonal, using them simply because they were valuable politically against a communist country.

Now that the world has matured a bit, and the bloom is off the Cold War paranoia rose, only the criminally insane would cling to that old red-baiting crap, anyway.

If you don't hate Cuba enough, it'll break Jeb's Daddy's heart.
