News Note: Trial of Posada postponed again. Reason? One of his defense lawyers --oops, I mean one of the so-called PROSECUTORS -- asked for a postponement because -- I swear I am not making this up -- his wife has to travel out of town on business and he has to take care of his kids. Should we call that one strike for women's liberation and two for injustice? Whatever happened to nannies? Or did all the yuppy lawyers who used to hire undocumented women for low pay so they didn't have to pay social security or medical benefits decide it was too risky in case they wanted to run for public office later on?
If the Courts keep postponing the mini-trial of terrorist and mass murderer Luis Posada Carriles long enough, he will die of old age living the good life in Miami. Who ever said that being a terrorist in the pay of the CIA didn't have its rewards? Extradition? Anyone hear the word extradition? Oops, I guess those papers got lost in some Washington bureaucrats drawer....No, this isn't the trial for killing 73 passengers and crewmembers on a Cuban civilian airline in 1976, nor for the bombing of hotels and restaurants in Cuba in 1997 that killed an Italian-Canadian visitor and injured many others, nor much less for his various attempts to assassinate Fidel Castro....it's just a little hand-slap for having lied about the way he snuck back into this country. And the judge who just granted the prosecutorial team a postponement is the same one who decided that Posada should go free because those sneaky feds had tricked him into saying things he didn't want to say....
Well, one thing's for sure -- those Miami-Cubans who have been having art auctions and fundraising benefits to pay for Posada's legal defense could save their money: the judge and prosecutors in this case are the best defense team a terrorist could ever hope for.

El juicio ha sido postergado hasta el 1ro de marzo de 2010, por petición de la fiscalía (anteriormente estaba programado para el 1ro de febrero de 2010). La fiscalía alegó que uno de los fiscales no puede litigar el caso en febrero, porque tiene que cuidar a sus hijos, ya que su esposa tiene que viajar por razones de trabajo. La Jueza Cardone postergó el caso un mes.
