By configuring your hashtags on Twitter there are tidbits of news coming out faster than the media are putting it out. Start here..

#Honduras

#crisisHN

Honduras CIA

Lots of RWnutz, but there are links put up LatAm DUers might like to catch.

You get the idea. Search the names of the usual suspects.

Bye bye

1. Also, to make more sense out of Twitter..
http://twitpipe.com/ helps organize Twitter into organized threads. Enter your tags into search field above the columns (it defaults to the top Twitter searches, so you'll have to enter your own search and maybe keep that page open by opening links in a new page or tab).

Hope this helps.

2. As much as I hate twitter, your twitpipe link makes it more tolerable + no twit account req.

Thanks for the tips.

Twitter is a lot like Yahoo msg boards - chock full of RW dipshit amoeba, but a good link or two oozes through.

4. I F-ing hate it. BUT, Mika's twitpipe helps organize the mess that is twitter.

No Twitter account needed for twitpipe to boot! Doubledoubleplusgood

About 1 in 900000 tweets has something useful.

Now, HOW THE HELL do I retweet?

Can I do it from here or does it have to be from a phone or should I just go f#ck myself.

ETA: Okay, figured it out. That was it?

7. Twitpipe has a retweet link on every post ... er ... tweet.
Edited on Mon Jun-29-09 04:50 PM by Billy Burnett
Seriously, Mika's www.twitpipe.com link really helps keep track of several "threads" (created by hashtagging in tweets). You don't have to use just hashtags though. Twitter searches any word or combination you are looking for. Searching #CIA yields results of tweets that have that hashtag, but searching CIA yields tweets that contain CIA w/o any #CIA hashtag. Interesting to search w/and w/o the "#" symbol.

Search using the @ symbol yield tweets directed at a user. Searching a user w/o the @ symbol yields tweets back to and from the user.

There's this too --> http://search.twitter.com/

Good luck communicating any refined thoughts w/only 140 chars including hashtags.

Oh yeah, to find DUers who connect there, use #demund w/or w/o the # tag.

:bounce:

10. Billy, I'm sorry to be so lame but when you "reply"
is your reply not visible on TP because it's private or what?

Oh, and 4 people are following me. How do I make it stop? lol

11. Twitter and TP have been a little funky today.
Too many tweets at a time coming in and many tweets are getting lost in the shuffle. The search function has been really slow for the last few days and I guess that screws with TP.

If you are using a PC be careful to have your firewall and virus protect up to date (and don't click on those send an anonymous email links) I've had several blinky blinks checking me out after clicking on a couple of those {make a link shorter} links.
