1. Telesur just showed a brief clip of the meeting

Recapping: Chavez called Shannon on Thursday.

Zelaya shows up Saturday in Washington to meet with Shannon from DR.

Interesting that Dan Restrepo was at the meeting. He is the National Security Council's advisor on Latin American affairs. As such, he has Obama's ear.

Zelaya in the clip said he would return, but reiterated that he would not now announce "where, when or how."

Now, does anyone know where Zelaya is today?

It might be worthwhile to keep an eye on Cambios en Cuba, because they scooped everyone on this news.

2. Big thank you, rabs. I was just talking with Machetera saying
that we can't find corroboration of the cambiosencuba story.

I think cambiosencuba is a good site to check in on.

And, yes, the big question is where is Zelaya today. At his press conf. in the DR, he said he would stay in the DR until he returned to Honduras. Of course, that could be a ruse.

4. Telesur just repeated the Shannon-Zelaya clip

Shannon makes a brief remark that the U.S. is working on the restoration of constitutional rule in Honduras.

Sure this has caught Goriletti's attention back in Tegu.

What caught my eye was the somber look on Shannon's face. He did not look like a happy camper.

The commercial attache in Washington, Rodolfo Pastor, who is still loyal to Zelaya, was the source. The French news agency AFP was the one that broke the story, with CambioenCuba picking it up.

Like you said a couple of days ago, something is afoot.

3. Interesting info., rabs. Surprised to hear Dan Restrepo was there.
Hope that's a good sign.

Haven't heard a word about Zelaya. Hope he will stay safe.
