4. Appears Zelaya digging in for the long haul

A tent city will be set up on the Nicaraguan side. Food will be provided to Zelaya supporters. It could be days or longer. People still filtering to Las Manos border crossing through the mountains. Tent city will be set up to shelter and feed them.

Zelaya's wife and family still not being allowed to the border. They are stuck in El Paraiso, several miles from the border.

Resistance leader Rafael Alegria is reported to have been detained by the military. His whereabouts unknown at this time.

5. Thanks for adding these updates. I'm worried about Alegria -- his
chances do not look good.

Glad for the encampment.

7. Zelaya supporter tortured, killed

Note the smashed fingers.

He was identifed as Pedro Ezequiel. Witness in the town of El Paraiso said Ezequiel had been detained yesterday by police/military on the pretext of smoking marijuana. His body was left in a field and found this morning by campesinos. He had multiple stab wounds (bayonets?).

Army has denied troops had detained him.

6. They just showed some big, burly, hulking types in camouflage, in Honduras,

wearing SKI MASKS, talking to another military guy without a ski mask. Could the masks be there to hide the fact they've brought in some American mercenaries, like Black Water?

Those bulked-up, strutting, weight-lifting types didn't look like normal people, but more than the narcissistic fanatics from a mercenary group.

Ve-ry wierd.

On edit:

My first instict was that they are snipers.

9. Remember there was a comment about the captors of Zelaya wearing masks
and someone inferred or reported that they might have been foreigners. This was discussed here way back.
