3. Updates to the updates

Have been listening to Radio Progreso:

Very early this morning there was a caller in Tegucigalpa who warned the golpistas that any more deaths of Zelaya supporters would be avenged.

Another caller from El Paraiso said there were former soldiers and reservists who are trained in the use of weapons and they would take the "necessary measures" if the golpistas continue to repress the people.

This is the first time I have seen any indication that there are Hondurans willing to take up arms against the golpistas, which is scary.

Campesinos led by a priest are blocking at least three border crossings into El Salvador.

Nicaragua is considering giving refugee status to the large number of Hondurans who have infiltrated over the mountains to support Zelaya.

The Honduran military this morning halted Red Cross ambulances and two trucks carrying medicines, food, water to people trapped by the military in El Paraiso.

Golpista car-thief general Romeo is reported to be in the area near the border. Soldiers are trying to hunt down and detain people trying to cross into Nicaragua fording rivers and through the mountains.

El Paraiso where thousands of people (including Zelaya's family) are trapped has been described an an open-air concentration camp. They have been likened to prisoners of war when there is no war.

In Tegu, there is at this moment a massive traffic jam caused by a resistance march on the Supreme Court. The area around the court building has been militarized. Main doors have been closed.

Zeyala reported meeting with resistance leader just inside Nicaragua to plot strategy.

4. Thanks for the extensive update. the situation is really escalating.
I think members of the resistance know for sure that the US and the Pinochettis are steadfast in running out the clock. No matter what happens with Pres. Zelaya, after January 2010, he is history politically. I'm certain Pinochetti will be replaced before long and the next "prez" will be hand picked by the US. I see no other option but for the resisers to arm themselves.
