My favorite Yupanqui song is "Duerme, Duerme Negrito." First heard it in Montevideo by Daniel Vigletti, but got to like Atahualpa's version more.

It tells of a babysitter telling a "negrito" (baby boy) to go to sleep because his mother has gone to work, coughing and sick, on the plantation; she will bring him quail to eat, delicious fruit, pork meat and other goodies (which is impossible because of the wages she is paid) and if the "negrito" does not go to sleep, the "white devil" (the plantation owner) will come and "zas," eat his little feet.
