Nicaragua prevents treatment of pregnant cancer patient

The cancer has what is called metastasis (I used the Spanish term). It has spread. This means the woman can't be cured. Since the fetus is unlikely to be viable until it's 5-6 months, and she's likely to be dead by then, then she'll die, and the fetus will die with her.

Abortion is a very difficult choice, but clearly it should be legal. Unfortunately, Latin American countries are under the sway of the Christian religion, and they in turn use obsolete laws they impose on the public at large to forbid abortion. Christianity, like Judaism, Islam, and similar religions, is obsolete, and based on primitive ideas, nonsense in the modern world. But these religions are so strong, these ideas opposing them can only be explained in anonymous form, or they burn you alive, or kill you, or ruin your career. It's human nature.
