1. Lookit:
The InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights – in 2002 there was coup – Chavez was kidnapped, he was gone – they wrote a letter to the dictator who took over and said “We hope you support human rights” they didn’t ask about the rresident – where was he?This is not an unbiased commission.”

2. Support your statement
I don't usually ask for you to support what you say, but I'm very curious, because i know the Commission works very slowly. So it would be nearly impossible for them to get a quorum and send a message from the Commission within the 72 hours the Carmona regime was in power. IF you can find something reliable, I would really like to have it handy.

4. Had no idea V.P. Alvaro Garcia and Gary Webb worked for the publication in earlier days!
That's an outstanding organization.

Thanks for the article. It would have been great to hear Charlie Hardy. Have heard of his book already. Ordered it after reading your link.

7. He should discuss "Socialism of the XXIst Century for the audience"
An interesting point: Socialism of the XXIst century seems to be morphing, today all we hear is marxism this and marxism that. The intellectual founder of socialism of the XXI century, Heinz Dieterich ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism_of_the_21st_century )criticizes the Venezuelan government because it has departed from his plan.

10. Socialism of the XXIst century
The ex-priest turned journalist happens to be a Chavez apologist. He mentions Socialism of the XXIst century, as if Chavez had a set plan or a firm idea of what he wants to accomplish. But notice none of them are ever able to describe what this socialism of the XXI century is.

I've seen old posts here where Chavez supporters noisly denied he was a marxist, even though everything pointed in that direction. Now that he says marx was such a genius, Chavez supporters of course say Marxism is so swell...even though any sane economist can point out its basic premise (value derives from the amount of labor inputs) is completely wrong.

So I would love for this ex priest turned journalist to sit down and explain to the audience in the USA what he means by Socialism of the XXI century. As I said before, Heinz Dietterich, the inventor of the term and an ex Chavez adviser, is criticizing Chavez every time he gets the chance. To those of us for whom this isn't a theoretical match, but are exposed to the real consequences of the mistakes being made by the Venezuelan government, is important to have an open and intelligent discussion with people on all sides, so we can amicably arrive at some conclusion, which I hope would be a departure from communist orthodoxy and a reapproachment to the way Lula, Bachelet, and Rodriguez Zapatero lead their countries.

11. First, you have not established that our discussions here
are a "theoretical match" for anyone.

Second, you have not established that this journalist is factually incorrect or what his motives are.

Third, you have not established that Chavez is inconsistent or that his supporters cannot describe the kind of socialism developing in Veneezuela.

Fourth, your use of socialism, Marxism and communism as interchangeable terms is erroneous.

Fifth, you have yet to show mistakes being made by the Venezuelan government. What are you talking about? Your comments are completely ungrounded.

Sixth, you haven't shown Dieterrich's critique of Chavez, which in itself might be interesting without being valid let alone condemnatory.

12. Well, find us a description of XXI Century Socialism
It's easy. I listen to Chavez all the time, and I can't figure out what he means - he never explains what it really is. So if you can find something Chavez said about it, concretely, please post it? I think he's making things up as he goes, but he's leaning more and more towards communism.
