RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI) today added Tele El Salvador to its Hispanic programming lineup. The Spanish-language channel is the first in America to broadcast exclusive productions from El Salvador 24 hours a day. Programming includes live coverage of news, politics, sports, entertainment and special events from that nation.

RCN Corporation is a leading provider of all-digital and high definition video, high-speed internet, and premium voice services to residential and small-medium business customers, in Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, PA, New York City, Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C., as well as high-capacity transport services to carrier and large enterprise customers.

"RCN strives to offer content that our subscribers will find compelling," said RCN's Strategic External Affairs & Programming Senior Vice President Richard Ramlall. "As a leading provider of international programming, we are excited to launch Tele El Salvador because of its news and sports coverage, in addition to its highly-rated programming, giving our customers the ability to stay connected to their home country."

Tele El Salvador will air on RCN channel 828 in Lehigh Valley, PA and channel 596 in all other RCN markets. It is included in all of RCN's Hispanic programming packages: MiVisión Plus, MiVisión Lite and El Paquetón, which can be ordered by calling 1-800-RING-RCN (746-4726) or by visiting www.rcn.com.
