Poll shows Americans want better ties with Cuba
Strange thing this American "democracy" is.

Poll shows Americans want better ties with Cuba

(Reuters) - A majority of Americans believe the United States should improve its long-strained relationship with Cuba and reestablish diplomatic and business ties, an opinion poll showed on Monday.

A Cuba Business Bureau/Insider Advantage poll of 401 people showed that 58 percent of those surveyed supported full diplomatic relations with Cuba, while 33 percent opposed it.

The poll, which had a margin of error of plus or minus five percentage points, also showed that 61 percent believed U.S. citizens should be allowed to travel to Cuba and 57 percent thought Washington should allow U.S. companies to do business in Cuba.

The United States has lifted some limits on Cuban Americans traveling and sending money to Cuba and initiated talks with Havana on migration and mail service.

But U.S. President Barack Obama has said the economic embargo will stay until Cuba improves human rights and frees political detainees.

US authorities bringing improved human rights to Miami -

Who's next?

1. Amazing how the U.S. demands human rights and freeing of detainees
maybe just a little hypocritical?

3. Very hypocritical
But then, don't expect much from homo sapiens. And this doesn't release the Cuban regime either. They have a problem, the US has a problem. I guess the Norwegians are one of the few countries without much of a problem, but they're a small country, and they haven't been raiding, raping and pillaging since their Viking days.

4. Can you imagine the shrieks we'd be hearing if the Cuban government used rubber bullets
or wooden dowels or the other weapons our own police use upon dissenters?

The media would set up a howel which would burst your eardrums, and they'd be agitating for invasions.

Here, it's a miracle when we ever hear of it through our own media when the police cut loose on our own protesters, leftists, always, of course, never right-wingers.

5. The hypocrisy is laughable.

Miamicuban exile radio hosts and callers were cheering the S FL police for their brutalization of demonstrators, just trying to speak their minds. According to the vast majority of the RWnutzMiamicuban exiles, the membership of the unions that showed up to the FTAA by busloads from across the nation - with permits to demonstrate - were communists who deserved all and more of what they got.

Meanwhile, the "ladies" who protest w/o permits are picked up by unarmed female Cuban police wearing skirts, and given rides back to their homes. I've previously posted both pictures and stories confirming this.

RW exiles and their RW minions here are posing as a bunch of crybabies.

6. I hear the Cuban regime tortured quite a few people
According to Valladares, the man who spent something like 20 years in a Cuban jail, they used a lot of torture.
