Evidence emerges of links between Venezuela and ETA
Madrid - Two suspected members of the militant Basque separatist group ETA have said they received weapons training in Venezuela, Spanish judicial sources said Monday.

Increasing evidence has emerged of links between ETA and Venezuela, though Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has denied such claims.
Javier Atristain and Juan Carlos Besance were among three suspected ETA members detained last Wednesday.

They told interrogators they had travelled to Venezuela to receive arms training from other ETA members as well as Chilean and Venezuelan citizens between July and August 2008, judge Ismael Moreno said in a judicial document quoted by several newspapers on their websites.

1. This does not mean the Venezuelan government is involved
The terrorists from Al qaeda trained in the USA to attack NY and Washington with those planes. This doesn't mean the US government was helping them train. The US government only behaved in a stupid fashion by ignoring information, but they did not help these terrorists.

5. They made verbal statements to a judge
The two guys made verbal statements to a judge. Of course, this is possible, or it may be their lie. After all, ETA is a terrorist organization, and they can lie to make Spain have poor relations with Venezuela. This is why the government here is careful with this type of information.

But we should understand many guys in ETA are communists, and they hide in Venezuela. This means maybe they went to Venezuela and received training, but it was done in a secret ETA location. Not official government help.

6. This is just terrible. He's such a terrible man. Someone should tell all his voters
what a terrorist he is all the time, that is, when he's not out murdering everyone to keep the murder rate high in Caracas, and smuggling dope.

He doesn't even have enough time left over to have Colombian paramilitaries assassinate union leaders and human rights activists, and helpers of the poor in the church, and academia, and indigenous peoples.

He does as much as he can, but terrorism just keeps him very busy. <sigh>

That's what I read in the maggot right-wing press, and would hear on Fox News if I could stand to watch it.

9. Pre-Consciousness Venezuela?
Indeed, Venezuelans are now very conscious. And one thing they have done is learned to avoid communism. Otherwise, how do you explain the majority vote against the communists in the recent elections? They are very conscious and vote according to their new knowledge.

10. They had to win some votes, since they knew they'd get their asses whipped in the previous election,
and like lying cowards, they withheld their candidates from that election altogether.

Then, for the intervening years, these same backstabbing, greedy, racist idiots told the world that Hugo Chavez had "seized control" of the National Assembly, when the world knew they had no candidates who could win, and withdrew from the election to avoid embarrassment. They "boycotted" the election. They had no one but themselves to blame.

Now, when they HAD candidates, some act as if the election had been a total triumph of the right-wing.

Apparently, with some people, anything better than a complete disaster is hailed as a major victory!
