Chavez admits faults in metro system, appeals to the 'decent' Venezuela
Chavez confessed that while the government had made heavy investments in expanding the metro system and opening new lines, it had neglected the "old lines." The same happened with electricity, he confessed. Maintenance and updating of older substations and electricity lines were neglected, as the government spent millions on new thermo-electricity supplies.

Chavez insisted that what is needed is unity and awareness of taking care of public services.

During his Sunday radio address which should have been broadcast from El Callao (Bolivar) but was held in Miraflores Palace, Chavez referred to the "patriotic" and "decent" Venezuela. Chavez urged people to fight corruption and speculation.

Venezuelan capitalism, Chavez mused, has been wounded and therefor, has become more dangerous and desperate.
