3. Where is your criticism for the Obama administration?
You are failing to criticize the United States therefore you are expressing a double standard and should be silenced.

In the thread 'Chavez and Khadaffi, good friends', in post #229.

15. I'm just providing the people some info to put your comments into context...
Just so they know they deal with a hypocrite who decries president Chavez for supposedly being 'undemocratic', while he wants to overthrow the democratically elected US government... People should know that when they weigh your comments.

16. You missed the context where I said I was for direct democracy.
I guess context is something you don't actually give a shit about. So go on keep spamming untruths if you want. People know I'm an anarchist here and I'm not the only one.

22. Wow ! Post #229

Had not seen it until you called attention to it. Seems to me it violates one of the cardinal DU rules. Wonder whether mods saw it.

National Security

Do not post messages that could be construed as advocating harm or death to the president or other high-ranking official in the United States government. In the case of the president, do not even post jokes, as the Secret Service is not known for its sense of humor.

Do not post messages that could be construed as advocating armed revolution or violent overthrow of the government of the United States.

He was baiting me.

edit: I suspect, given his behavior, he even reported me to the SS.

4. An argument could be made for Chavez being evil but I think he's crazy
Like many people in Venezuela, I believe he's a manic depressive. This is the reason why he comes up with all that crazy stuff during his TV show, but has to cancel it on short notice once in a while. When he's in the manic phase, he starts legislatin' away, threatens people openly (like Judge Afiuni), sings, tells dirty jokes on national TV, etc. When he's in his depressive state, he gets in bed, cries, and doesn't want anybody to see him. He's like Richard Gere in that movie where he played a crazy guy.

7. I was actually checking out the history of the Medal of Freedom and Congressional Gold Medal.
I was actually pretty surprised with how unevil most of the recipients are (compared to the Nobel Peace Prize). Uribe certainly didn't deserve it.

11. No, no, that's "off-topic"! On a leftist forum, you're only allowed to bash leftist presidents...
Makes perfect sense, no?

12. There is no hypocrisy at all
those of us against Chavez are also against Bush.

You, however, are the hypocrite as you rail against Bush but support Chavez.

It's pretty simple, really.

Oh, and Chavez was democratically elected, while Bush was appointed by the Supreme Court...

17. huh?
Nobody here support bush.

Certain of us here oppose anti-democratic actions across the board. We opposed them when Bush did them. We opposed them when Obama does them. We oppose them when Chavez does them.

You are ok with them when Chavez does them. You are the hypocrite.

19. You forget that lack of criticism = support.
I've actually been compelled to litter my posts with anti-US sentiment here even though it's not necessary to be critical of the dictators, but if you don't you're a bad bad person.

26. But the so-called 'anti-democratic actions' of Chavez... er... don't exist.
They're easily refuted right-wing propaganda. The right-wing keeps trying and they have the US media as their accomplices, and gullible people swallow everything the media sell.

18. A replica of the Simon Bolivar's sword is piddling

compared with this little gift bestowed on the U.S. president in June 2009.

The gift giver: Saudi King Abdullah. The absolute ruler of Saudi Arabia, one of the worst repressive dictatorships in the world.

Melt value has been estimated at $25,000. But if it were put on the market, up to a cool one million dollars because of its symbolic value.

By law, such gifts are to be turned over to the GSA. Assume BO did just that.

I mean, other than that it's made of pure gold and all.

21. Found it. Disgusting. "King Abdul Aziz Order of Merit"
Countries Highest Honor.

Actually, on second thought, I suppose Obama deserved it for being the Saudi's biggest arm dealer. :puke:

I assume you find it problematic that Chavez gave the Bolivar Sword Symbol to Gaddafi?
