Remember in the Last Hurrah, that wonderful Spencer Tracey movie about the last election for a Big City boss type mayor, I really suggest you watch it...

the people who had been around him his whole life were gathered in the house as the Mayor lay ebbing away up stairs. When his biggest rivals came to see him, the Mayor had them come up. It use to be that being on the other side of the party line was much like being on the other side of the field in Football or Baseball...

Now that the likes of Rush and Newt have denigrated the discourse in our country so much, it's hard to imagine what would happen if Obama showed up at the hospital with a nice splay of flowers...

He must have heard some of them talking about doing it.

Obama would blow the rightwing's collective mind. It would be a magnimous act, and in keeping with his character, from what I can tell. If Obama's got anything, it's class!

Rush would bask in the glory that the President came to him. The right wing would say it was nothing but a photo op. It would backfire completely. They are NEVER going to give Obama any credit for anything no matter what he does. He shouldn't even acknowledge that Rush is even in Hawaii or sick.

And I'll say it. I hope Rush dies. He is an evil human being and doesn't deserve an ounce of sympathy. He wouldn't give it to Obama so why should we do anything but wish him misery.

say what you really feel. Good for you. Reading the "prays for Rush" comments on Huffington Post are enough to make you puke. Then every other post is about how impressive the comments are. It's good to know that people are so impressed with their own hypocrisy. :puke:

I don't believe for one second any one of them wishes Rush well. I don't wish him dead, I don't wish him a speedy recovery. I don't wish him anything at all. I simply do not care about Rush Limbaugh and I'm not about to pretend that I do just because his cocaine and prescription drug abuse has likely caught up with him, again.

and the RW teabaggers would become an even more dangerous pain in the ass to Obama.

and I fail to see how he becomes a martyr by dying of a heart attack, likely induced by years of drug abuse and obesity.

But I can understand the pent up fury at him and his ilk by liberals. It's just really not worth our time. We have better things to do. However, if it makes folks feel better, ok, vent for a few minutes. THEN MOVE ON...

There are more constructive things for us to do with our time and our energy. REally.
