POLL: Lieberman Approval Tanks in CT (25% approval, 19% approve of health care reform shenanigans)
Lieberman Approval Tanks in Connecticut

A new Public Policy Polling survey in Connecticut finds Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) with a dismal 25% approval rating while 67% give him bad marks.

Key finding: President Obama's approval rating with Connecticut Republicans is higher than Lieberman's with the state's Democrats.

In addition, Lieberman "managed to antagonize both sides with his actions during the health care debate. Among voters who support the health care bill 87% disapprove of how Lieberman handled it with only 10% supporting it. But by voting for the final product after getting it watered down he also managed to earn the unhappiness of constituents opposed to the bill, 52% of whom say they disapprove of what Lieberman did to 33% in support."

"Overall just 19% of voters in the state say they like what Lieberman did on the issue with 68% opposed."

3. May he go down in flames
It will be interesting to see what sort of contortions he pulls and the deathbed connversions he undergoes as he gets closer to 2012.

8. It's funny that his posturing on health care managed to piss off
literally everyone who was remotely paying attention.

At this point, he's the most vulnerable Senator up in 2012.

7. And yet, we are about to see the Lieberman-Nelson, Baucus-Emmanuel bill pass...
Which will be equally popular once the details get out.

10. Bingo..
.. but don't expect to let that sad bit of reality obscure the fantasy that the POS sham HCR is some kind of "victory" for We The People.

Cue..

18. Well bud..
... it takes more than broken pretty campaign promises and spin to retain this Progressive's support. I guess others come cheaper... (or maybe they aren't Progressives at all)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

13. What amazes me is that people who PRAISE this POS HC bill continue to TRASH its authors.
To read their posts, they should all be out there PRAISING Stinky Joe and Old-Clothes-Man Nelson for their "wonderful" contributions to tis "historic" legislation.

Remember when Max Baucus was the big villain here?

Ah, summer!

15. Good, right now I’m
pretty involved in the Carnahan campaign to get the senate seat of Missouri’s Kit Bond out of repug hands but will throw a bit cash that way if there is a chance of getting rid of that vermin.

17. That's great.
MO looks to be the best chance for a Dem pick up this year. Carnahan is strong. It will be interesting to see where McCaskill stands in 2012. She's trying hard to toe the party line while talking a big "moderate" game.

19. Clare looks pretty safe, for now at least
With the shit storm kicking up in the Springfield area with Blunt hogging up all of the limited repug funds, it pretty amusing to watch them whine.
