You know what I find odd about the whole underwear bomber debate
To my knowledge, no one has asked what would have happened had he, instead of the party crashing attention divas, had crashed the White House. This makes the whole fiasco at the White House even more scary. I do hope that the Secret Service has fixed that problem.
1. I son't see the WH party crashing a big problem. The people who
git un were well known to almost everybody in Wash. and the WH. BFD that they got into a party. I don't see the Obamas getting excited about it and I don't think we should either. MANY< MANY MORE threats that were much more severe have been made against our Prez and I don't see a lot of media or even US railing against those! I don't GAS about a media hounding couple(s) looking to hit the TV as much as I care about the silent but determined singles who want to kill our Prez!
6. the screening to get into that dinner was far more intense then the airport security
he went through in Amsterdam... and no offense, but a guy like him trying to "crash" a state dinner wouldn't have flown. The people who did it dressed the part, spoke the part and were able to easily act the part and had been to other political functions in the past so they were recognized by other attendees. Al Quada ops would have a very difficult time pulling off the social aspect of entrance to an event like this.
7. It's not the Secret Service but the head of their Protocol who thinks herself "too good"
to help monitor the gates where visitors are allowed in during that State Department Dinner. He name escapes me but she should have been the one fired. However, she's buddies with Michelle and Heaven forbid they fire their friends brought with them from Chicago. :eyes:
The Secret Service has a right to be miffed. The Obamas are more loyal to their cronies who were not "on the job" than to the people tasked to protect them from physical harm.
