Anyone remember how as usual Bush 43 was late on Tsunami aid?

The tsunami struck on Dec. 26, and Bush was criticized for not reacting personally and immediately while on a holiday vacation at his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

The president has been trying to make up for it in recent days, visiting embassies of the hardest-hit nations, enlisting former Presidents Bush and Clinton to increase private donations to the region and ordering U.S. flags to fly at half-staff in memory of the victims.

Just something I remembered this morning. Also I remember he made some paltry initial $ effort - something like $35 million.

I'm proud of the Obama administration and how they have responded so far. Too bad Obama wasn't in charge during Katrina. IMHO more residents of New Orleans and the Gulf states would've been saved.
