Vicki Kennedy Appears In Coakley "Closer" Ad (VIDEO)
Kennedy Appears In Coakley Closer
January 15, 2010 10:10 AM | Permalink | Comments (0) |

Vicki Kennedy, the widow of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, makes her long-awaited debut on the Dem campaign trail today in a new ad endorsing her husband's would-be successor.

Though Ted Kennedy only faced one tough re-election effort, the race to replace him has turned into a toss-up, and MA AG Martha Coakley (D) appears to need all the help she can get. In the new spot, Vicki Kennedy vouches for Coakley.

"Tuesday's election is to fill the term my husband didn't have a chance to complete. But it's not the Kennedy seat, it's the people's seat. The mother struggling to make ends meet," Kennedy says in the ad. "The father trying to find a job. My husband fought for them, and so does Martha Coakley."

1. Good on Vicki. She would have made a good Senator, but I understand why she didn't run.
I like the way she said "it's not the Kennedy seat, it's the people's seat"

Hope it helps do the job.

5. How Many Here "Might" Attribute" Rahm's Agenda With Strong DLC Agenda
for what be the scary probability of Coakley LOSING in MA? This is the first REAL test of what some of us have felt as a betrayal of what many of us here at DU have found to be a reversal on many issues by the Obama WH!

I don't live there, far from it... in a mostly Red state so I have NOTHING to compare it with. I was just wondering what other might be thinking.

Perhaps this has been posted already, don't know because I've had to try to stay away from here because of the stress it has been causing me!

Also, the Haiti issue has been front and center for me, as I've been trying to get many to donate MONEY to them! I could only give $25.00 right now, but have been calling friends and family to ask them to donate! It's the "least" I can do!
