Coakley will win (IMO)
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 12:12 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
It's a close call but I am going to bet (figuratively) that Brown peaked a few days too soon.

I'm a big believer in momentum in political races but the MA dynamic (Blue-state) is such that rather than a band-wagon effect the Brown-mania may have started enough buyers-remorse phase to blunt his momentum.

This level of national attention is remarkable... Brown isn't sneaking up on anyone.

(Ironically, were it not for all the doom and gloom Coakley would have lost.)

So I'll say Coakley in a squeaker.

1. Don't know, don't know...
But the polls have put the fear of gawd into people. So that is good.

6. GOTV
Whoever gets the voters to the polls in tomorrow's predicted crappy weather, will be the one to win.

7. I agree with you, and I hope the squeaker of a margin will wake up Mass Dems
We've gotten way too complacent here about Dems getting elected almost automatically.

10. Had the conservative meadia talking heads shut up about the polls showing Brown
surging, the Dems may not have paid any attention and he could have won. Funny, how Limbaugh et al screaming out that he was sirging the polls and going to win is probably, at least in part, a reason he will lose.

11. I'm absolutely aghast that somebody like Brown even has a chance.

He's worse than Palin, for god's sakes.

13. I think so too. And like you said, without all the attention put on this race, I think
Brown would have won.

14. Doubt it. I'm not happy about it, but I think she's another Deeds.
As a Virginian sentenced to live under McDonnel's knuckle dragging christofascist regime, I hope that Mass. can escape our fate.

But I doubt it.
