Lets stick our finger in the Repubs eye and PASS the senate bill
in the house. Then figure out how to use reconciliation to push improvements through piece by piece. That is the only feasible way to use reconciliation so that a bill doesn't get torn to shreds by the Byrd Rule (kills matters that the parliamentarian doesn't consider "related to the budget."). We can't let them win in the end. Otherwise they get to paint Obama as a failure and they will be rewarded by their unprecedented obstruction

1. Let's kill the Senate bill
and use reconciliation to expand Medicare. BTW, Nancy Pelosi nixed your suggestion today.

6. If we can't get 51 votes for that, we might as well pack our bags and go home

5. If you really WANT to royally piss off the voters for the midterms
That would be the best course to take.

21. Well, nothing like setting us up for another 1994 disaster
We can't win without independents, and a majority of Americans don't like the Senate's HCR.

22. That would be sticking their fingers in the eyes of the American people.
Kill this disgusting bill and pass reforms piece by piece. If it needs to be done by reconciliation, then so be it, but do not pass a bill that will do little more than damage an already weakened middle class.

23. I was pretty upbeat about getting stuff pass until today
but this is just demoralizing. We are fucked. Almost nothing will get passed this year, which will screw us in the midterms.
