Shocker! "Gregg: GOP Would Make Reconciliation 'An Extraordinarily Difficult Exercise'"
Gregg: GOP Would Make Reconciliation 'An Extraordinarily Difficult Exercise'
The New York Times reports that Democrats face a new set of choices on whether to pursue the strategy of passing the Senate health care bill, plus a budget-reconciliation bill to modify it -- with Republicans ready to throw up new procedural hurdles against that strategy. "It would be a very hard lift," said Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH). "We would make it an extraordinarily difficult exercise."

1. My BIGGEST disappointment in dems is their UNWILLINGNESS to shout at the top of their lungs how the
...GOP has used these tactics in the past to screw up the world.

Dems use reconciliation once KKKons scream KKKons use reconciliation ALL THE TIME dems just go along

6. +1000!
If Harry Reid had any balls at all, he'd make it 'An Extraordinarily Difficult Exercise' for any of these obstructionist MFers to get any federal money at all for their constituents.

4. Call their bluff.
Put the public option back in and pass it through reconciliation.

5. The President should quote them on this tomorrow night and call them out on it.
It's the best chance he'll ever have of letting the country as a whole know that the Republicans are playing politics with the HCR bill.

7. "gregg loved reconciliation in the bush era"..
"In the meantime, Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), who just loved reconciliation in the Bush era, has said he and other Republicans would fight any and all efforts to modify the health care reform bill through the reconciliation process. "We would make it an extraordinarily difficult exercise," Gregg said."
