The Republicans do not have a leg to stand on with small businesses

If small buisness creates over 70% of all new jobs

By voting against the stimulus package that had those cuts.. and now.. refusing to help with HCR that would give small businesses tax credit to provide insurance for their employees

What leg do the republicans have to stand on when it comes to protecting small businesses in the US.. the real engine of our economy?

1. The Republicans HATE small businesses.

They let Big Money from Big Corporations rule whatever legislation they may write.

Take my business, for example, trucking.

The vast majority of truckers in this country are employed by small trucking firms, yet the ATA (American Trucking Assn., that represents only the large trucking companies) calls the shots for ALL truckers in this country, because they have a big bag of money to throw at everyone in Congress on a Transportation committee.

If the ATA had its way, and they have been desperately trying to do this, is use the government to run all their competition out of business for them.

3. They are really corporate fascists, not classic republicans. There is no moderate wing of the repubs

They spend all their time fundraising and reading off Frank Luntz's talking points. They do not legislate. Their bills a written by the highest bidder, which are the biggest corporations.
