1. Not Sure...
He can't vote like a teabagger and get re-elected in 2012.

14. Reality has never been a republican value
Brown is way out of his league and will fall in line with republican leadership.

3. He's not going to be back after 2012 So he'll probably go for broke
If he moves toward being a sensible person then he'll lose the primary

If he acts like a repub, he'll lose in the GE

6. Exactly!
mike Capuano would have eaten his "I drive a truck" campaign for breakfast. Same with Alan Kharzei. Unlike Coakley they both really had that fire-in-the-belly to win that seat. Either one of them run in 2012, sign me up!

10. The primary is open to independents
If his goal is getting reelected, being a moderate could be the better way to win both the primary and general election. But, the brief clips of his press conference shows he might be going far to the right. Saying the stimulus led to NO new jobs is pretty extreme. He really sounded not ready for prime time.

5. This bill is a sellout to the "employers" of America by the Democrats,
and will get republican support. Even Hatch supports the 6.25% tax break for each hired (min 60 day ) unemployed. This sudden interest in "small businessmen" is going to get few jobs and little long term support for democratic ideals. Scotty's and Joe the plumber's buddies will be looking forward to permanently killing the "death tax" too. I hope no one lets that Luntz phrase stand when talking about the Estate Tax and that all Duers remember it affects only 2% of tax paying population.

7. Everything is a sellout.
It's just too easy to throw out cheap accusations. So are you proposing getting rid of "employers"?

Who's going to do the hiring?

13. I disagree with you that this bill is a sell out. It is a way to get money in the hands of small
business so they can operate their businesses and create jobs.

12. This guy has his eye on bigger things than pleasing Massachusetts voters.
He thinks he is Presidential material and will do Repiblican bidding to assue his is loyal while all the while claiming to be willing to work with both sides. It is just that well, Dem's never give him anything he can vote yes on.

16. Absolutely. He will listen to the Repub leadership being the new guy.
But after a few months, things might get uncomfortable because the Mass public are more moderate in their views.
