What does Michelle Obama think of Sarah Palin? We may never find out…
Feb 10, 2010

It’s pretty clear what defeated Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin thinks of President Barack Obama, but did you ever wonder what first lady Michelle Obama thinks of Palin?

Don’t count on finding out anytime soon.

Asked for her “read” on Palin during a round of television interviews Tuesday, Obama was frustratingly diplomatic.

“You know, I don’t have a read,” she told CNN’s “Larry King Live” program. “I mean I try not to make or set opinions about people that I haven’t had any … substantive interaction with.”

-----------

While reluctant to talk about Palin, she had no qualms talking about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, her husband’s rival for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination.

The relationship between Clinton and her husband, which had been tense during the campaign, is great, the first lady said.

“Hillary Clinton is an amazing secretary of state. I mean she would have been an amazing president,” Obama said. “She’s proven to be a tremendous asset in so many ways.”

I agree, Michelle. Hillary would have been an amazing president.

15. She was being polite and diplomatic.
It would be unsightly for the FLOTUS to start a food fight with Palin.

2. Michelle is an adult and doesn't hold grudges. You could learn something from her graciousness.

27. That's OK.
I didn't even see it, so who cares?

Yes, both Michelle and Hillary are classy women. Palin, not so much.

How have you been?

4. "substantive interaction" wouldn't fit on Palin's palm
much less in her brain.

5. Palin isn't fit to carry Michelle's shoes. Period.
Though I'm guessing this wasn't the real point of posting the article.

She's the First Lady, she wasn't about to hurl insults at Palin.

8. I would like to see Hilary Clinton run as vice president in 2012.
This would allow her to kick Palin's ass without any repercussions.

22. People say a lot of things and then change their mind.
It's her prerogative, but it would be a shame if she did. She has so much left to contribute.

17. At least Michelle is not a SORE WINNER, unlike a handful on DU.
She's willing to admit that Hillary is great.

Hey there, Bea!

20. Hi, Jesus!!!
How is it going in your part of the world? Around here were are snowbound, so I've been very domestic. I made a pot of soup and an apple pie. I'm about to take some of both to my 92 year old neighbor.
