I hear people say that the white house is lacking when it comes to explaining things, and it's true. I don't know if the guy I voted for is really on my side or the side of corporations. I know where Rahm and Axelrod stand, but I'm clueless as far as Obama. That would've been a good question for someone to ask him instead of if he had read Palin's book.

1. He told us what he wanted.....

Some just decided that if he didn't stomp his feet,
yell out loud, poke some eyes out and kick some ass,
that what he said just couldn't be true.

For that matter, I don't "know" if you are on my side.

4. Well, I'm not in a position of power. So do I have to be on your side?
The Public Option saves money, helps poor people, and yet the WH can't sell that? I refuse to believe it. Maybe they don't want to sell it. I know Rahm doesn't want to sell it. And apparently Axelrod is Rahm-lite.

6. You are in as much a position of power as I am.......
and it takes all of us to make a difference.
This administration asked for help, but got
criticized for every move they made instead.
And although many of the critics were coming from
different directions, the pile-on still ended
just as high.

2. Yes he does.
He's just not going to let people die if he doesn't get it.

Any other questions?

3. He supports a public option, but not enough to fight for it.
Obviously it's not a deal breaker for him if the public option is not in the bill. He'll sign whatever the House and Senate can pass and call it reform.

5. If you've paid attention to anything our President has said he supports both...clearly.
He supports medicare for all. He said as much---but he said also that if they could start from the beginning and if they had a congress who was willing it could be possible. However, he also has said that he realizes this is impossible with the structure in place....so he supports massive health care reform that includes a public option that would work almost like medicare for all to give people at least---or I should say nearly become universal health care, if not medicare for all. So he wants that. And what needs to be noted was that the public option is not the end all be all of this health care bill.

He says health care reform, not Public Option bill. We have to realize there is a bigger picture and Obama has clearly stated that the left and the right have chosen to ignore everything tha is the problem to focus on one element of the bill. It doesn't make for good discussion and that is what has been halting movement

Lastly, as proclamation of his stance on giving health care Obama comes from a state that mandates health care. Yes, the Hawaiian government gives health care to it's consituents---and it's been going on for over 40 years. Most of the left look to Canada or Europe when we could look at our own Hawaii.

7. That's why next time you should not vote for him
Because obviously he didn't say "I'm for the public option" enough times for you to understand. And it's not like he was the reasons the PO was even on the table for as long as it's been.

8. He's been clear about what he wants
1. Universal coverage
2. Health care costs to rise at or less than inflation

In that order.

Medicare expansion, public insurance, mandates, price controls, etc. are all means; he's stated is ends clearly, over and over again.

10. That's because he is not leading.
It's a shame to see this great opportunity so squandered.
