"Republican Ideas"
The new HC section at whitehouse.gov gives you answers to any question you may have about today's proposal. There's even a whole page that includes a lengthy list of Republican proposals that have already been incorporated into the package, and which the president supports.

Of course it won't change anything, no Republican will vote for the bill, but at least the public can see the truth.

2. Thanks for posting. Had to laugh at the GOP's own idea of posting their legislation.
Even the GOP website is unbelievably bad. Sat through it loading like it's in dial-up mode, and then read this first line:

President Obama's initial attempt to seize control of one-sixth of the U.S. economy by nationalizing the American health care system has failed.

How can anyone take them seriously with this kind of garbage front-and-center on their official website?

They go on to "implore" him to put in the bill half the stuff that was already in the bills that they voted against. They are really playing their constituencies. The question for me is, will Dems be able to pierce "teh stupid."

4. A rose by any other name...
"Advances medical liability reform through grants to States: Provides grants to States to jump-start and evaluate promising medical liability reform ideas to put patient safety first, prevent medical errors, and reduce liability premiums.

* (Sources: S. 1783, “Ten Steps to Transform Health Care in America Act” (Enzi bill); H.R. 3400, “Empowering Patients First Act” (Republican Study Committee bill); H.R. 4529, “Roadmap for America’s Future Act” (Ryan bill); S. 1099, “Patients’ Choice Act” (Burr-Coburn, Ryan-Nunes bill))"

Isn't this Tort Reform? Do they even know it's in there?

6. This is laughable to the point of being absurd
Watching all the people cheerleading for Republican "ideas" - and unpopular and ineffective Democratic ones incorporated into public policy.

Kafka would be right at home here.

9. The question is...
How many republican'ts will follow those marching orders when it becomes clear they are marching over a cliff? When the passage of health care legislation becomes inevitable, how many will want to be on the wrong side of history?
