Hypocrisy alert: Republicans vote to pass jobs bill they filibustered two days ago (updated)
Edited on Wed Feb-24-10 12:46 PM by ProSense
Talking Points Memo:

On Monday, the Senate voted for cloture on the Democratic jobs bill, 62-30. Today, they passed the bill itself in a vote of 70-28.

That means eight senators who voted against cloture (or were absent, which in a cloture vote is the same as a no vote) vote for the bill itself. All of them are Republicans.

The switchers who voted no on cloture but yes today:

Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
Thad Cochran (R-MS)
James Inhofe (R-OK)
George LeMieux (R-FL)
Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
Roger Wicker (R-MS)

5. We need to FUCK them with this again! But harder the next time around, keep bringing
smallish bills to the floor where they are either forced to support it or stand with their lunatic base and large corporatists...etc.

Bottom line is these mother fuckers were shown to be world class hypocrites today!!!

Well done Leader Reid!!! Now do it again tomorrow.

I HATE HYPOCRITES!

7. They Crucified Kerry in 2004 for Doing The Same Thing
Remember the "I voted against it before I voted for it" gaffe?

Just don't hold your breath waiting for the corporate media to run with this story.

8. You Know....
If you keep sounding the "Hypocrisy Alert" every time the Republicans do something like that, you're going to wear out the batteries on that thing.

9. Have you ever heard:
"lather, rinse, repeat"?

Needs to happen, especially given the extent of GOP hypocrisy and some people's short attention span.
