U.S. Sen. Richard Burr plans to begin and end his day with fundraising events.
Burr, a Winston-Salem Republican, faces two primary challengers, and three Democrats are gunning for his seat. Burr said this week that he expects to raise $15 million in his bid for re-election.
Burr was a special guest at a K Street fundraiser breakfast this morning with Pennsylvania Senate candidate Pat Toomey. Tickets start at $1,000.
To finish off the day, Burr is holding a fundraising dinner at the Oceanaire Seafood Room. Tickets start at $500 a person.
