I think if people were better informed the result would be much higher. Some people don't know what it is.

8. Poll seems weighted towards . . .
self-proclaimed conservatives. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

5. Quick...Someone send this to The White House!!!
If Obama knew THIS,
surely he would include "buying into a government administered health insurance plan" into HIS HCR Plan.
Wouldn't he?

He IS working for us, isn't he?

7. These polls show one thing is definite
Edited on Mon Mar-01-10 02:22 PM by janet118
If the Democrats don't pass a bill that includes a public option - one that offers truly affordable, quality alternatives to private or employer-based insurance, immediately and open to everyone - they are toast.

If they pass a bad bill that only helps insurance companies, they will lose their base, the Republicans won't vote for it anyway and the Independents will say the Republicans knew it was a bad bill. The perfect storm for Obama and every other Democrats' defeat.

One thing I learned from my friend who died of breast cancer was that when you have to leave work because you're so sick, your insurance payments increase to the point where you can't afford them without a paycheck and have to qualify for Medicaid before you can be covered for medical care. That means no assets left for your kids. Nice system we have here.

9. Obviously worded incorrectly
Edited on Mon Mar-01-10 02:28 PM by DirkGently
The pollsters forgot to say, "Do you favor Social-Commie-Fascist Government Death Panels coming to kill to you in your sleep?" which is the poll the GOP bases its position on.
