GOP announces its 4 point plan to fix the Toyota Recall problem ...
In a surprise move, GOP leaders have announced their 4-point plan to resolve the issues which led to the quality problems at Toyota, leading to the recall of millions of Toyota vehicles.

A few quotes from their plan:

1) Cut taxes on auto companies
"It is clear that current taxes on auto companies create a significant expense which leaves less money for companies like Toyota to ensure the quality of their vehicles. Cutting such taxes would free up financial capitol which could be used to ensure greater quality."

2) Reduce wages paid to auto workers
"As with taxes, the wages of employees create a significant expense which leaves less money for companies like Toyota to ensure the quality of their vehicles. Cutting workers wages would free up financial capitol which could be used to ensure greater quality."

3) Reduce the regulation of the auto industry
"As with taxes, and employee wages, complying with regulations creates a significant expense which leaves less money for companies like Toyota to ensure the quality of their vehicles. Cutting regulations would free up financial capitol which could be used to ensure greater quality."

4) Auto Industry Tort Reform
"As with taxes, and employee wages, and complying with regulations, the potential for liability lawsuits creates a significant expense which leaves less money for companies like Toyota to ensure the quality of their vehicles. Tort Reform would free up financial capitol which could be used to ensure greater quality."

John Boehner's Statement:
"Together, these actions would ensure that a company like Toyota is not burdened by the crushing taxes, excessive employee wages or the socialsitical ramifications of government regulations, which ultimately reduce profits and prevent companies like Toyota from focusing on quality. Obviously, Tort Reform is a critical part of this plan, which helps ensures that it is the free market, and not some shyster lawyer, that will determine if a car company's products lack the appropriate level of quality, thus killing too many people to survive as a business. Just as God intended, when he wrote the Constitution."

1. Ummm, why do all you Toyota drivers think the things are made in Mississippi?
Toyota is ALREADY a non-union shop. :hi:

7. Understand, I suspect that many here will "get it" ... what I'd like to see is the left ...
... do more to point it out.

That's really why I did this ... I watched most of the health care thing last week, and the GOP 4-point plan was prominently displayed.

So, I considered posting the GOP's 4-point plan for HCR ... but that would be too obvious, so I took advantage of the Toyota mess, in part as a simple test of the model. An experiment I guess ...

Hypothesis: Can I construct a GOP position for the Toyota mess that seems plausible.

It was way to easy ... we on the left should be calling their actions by a name like that ... "The GOP's 4 point Solution to every problem" ...
