Patrick aide could run for House
Ted Carr, an aide to Gov. Deval Patrick who worked in the Clinton administration, is reportedly considering a run for the seat being vacated by Rep. Bill Delahunt. Carr is now the executive director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment and a Cohasset selectman. Carr would join state Sen. Robert O'Leary and Norfolk County District Attorney William Keating in seeking the Democratic nomination.

1. There's a name from my past!
Worked with Ted on the Tsongas campaign in 1992, when I was a field organizer and Ted was in advance. Good man.

3. Actually, what you saw was what you got
His dry sense of humor never translated onto television, but in person, he could be tremendously engaging in his own odd way.

His wife, Niki, is a far more natural politician (she now holds Paul's old seat in MA-05). We took her to a senior center in Plaistow, NH for a meet-and-greet, and she ended up shooting pool with some of the locals. The next day's paper was basically the Niki Tsongas Commemorative Edition, with pics on the front page, the NH Suburban page, and a full page artice. Another time, we did a downtown walk, and decided to pop into the storefront headquarters of the other candidates. The guys from Bob Kerrey's campaign still haven't recovered from that one.

4. Cool stories from this neck of the woods!
My dad chatted with Dukakis a couple of times. Me? I almost ran him over with my minibike when I was a teen - lol. Niki sounds like a pretty cool politician.
