A few Secret Service agents need New Careers
Edited on Sat Nov-28-09 06:09 AM by Firstzar
After two reality-show wannabes (!) crashed the State Dinner and actually met the President the other night, there had better be some firings! Or, at the very least, reassignments to Fort Knox, the First National Bank of Enid Oklahoma, or, even better, Dick Cheney!

This is serious shit, folks! There are members (and ex-members) of our own military who know how to kill someone almost instantly with their bare hands, and it's nothing more than dumb luck---and I mean reality-show dumb luck---that President Biden isn't thinking about possible appointees to the Vice Presidency right now!

1. "Breaking Fox News! Obama To Fire The Secret Service's Most Experienced Officers."
"Is there a Stalinist ideological purge going on? Or is this another example of Obama's racism against America?"

2. Not many people seem to care about how horrifying this incident is.
They're having way too much fun bitching on speculations. This crap freakin' scares the shit out of me because any crackpot can get in and we have our president's life in danger.

3. You're right to be scared!
As I alluded to above, reality-show contestants have the approximate IQs of doorknobs! If they can get past the Secret Service.....!

5. I'm with you. The potential danger to the President, VP, Speaker of the House,
PM of India and everyone else was inexcusable.

I saw a security expert on TV who said there were many ways to harm people once inside, including bio weapons and something as simple as grabbing a knife off the dinner table, breaking a glass, etc.

I think these crashers should be prosecuted and the SS and WH staff responsible for this should be fired. Immediately.

7. I agree with you. I don't understand how in Gods name this happened.
So many leaders and dignitaries not to mention the kids are in that house could have been hurt. I can't think on this too much. If these crackpots were anyone else----those two little girls. Oy.

4. I know that the WH and the MSM is trying to play this down but it is really BAD....it shows how
easy it is to get near the President and his Admin with a bio-pathogen or anthrax....a fucking advertisement.

SCARY!

8. IMO...heads should roll..
There is NO excuse for this having happened...considering what I read here there and other places on the web...the fact that it was possible for this to happen, makes me wonder if there isn't something underhanded going on, right in front of our faces...To think these people crashed a STATE event...with a visiting FOREIGN HEAD of STATE....in the WHITE HOUSE for crying out loud...well, let's be real here....there's not near enough screaming outrage about this incident going on...This was NO JOKE...and it isn't the least bit funny...We can't afford for this to be taken lightly...Our President's life is on the line...I haven't forgotten about Kennedy, how about you?? wb

9. "Security Breach at the White House" and the silver lining
Edited on Sat Nov-28-09 07:16 PM by Cha
is it's a small price to pay to make sure everything is done exactly right and then some from here on out, ad infinitum.

<snip>

Washington (CNN) -- The Virginia couple accused of crashing President Obama's first White House state dinner on Tuesday are named in at least 16 different civil suits in Fauquier County, sometimes as plaintiffs, sometimes as defendants.

A trawl through court records on Thursday revealed a more complete picture of Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who have left an extensive paper trail in federal bankruptcy and state court filings.

The couple was spotted rubbing elbows with the likes of Vice President Joe Biden and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel at Tuesday's dinner, but the Secret Service says they were not invited.

A Secret Service checkpoint "did not follow proper procedures" to determine if the two were on the guest list, said Edwin M. Donovan, a Secret Service special agent, in a statement.

The incident represents a security breach for the White House at the Obama administration's biggest social event to date. More than 300 guests, including Cabinet members, diplomats and Hollywood celebrities, attended the dinner in honor of visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

11. Another question... Did SS follow procedures during Bush admin?
Edited on Sun Nov-29-09 09:24 AM by LiberalFighter
If so, then why didn't they now?

This agency has been around long enough to know what they need to do.

12. Its a scary precedent. Just how easy is it to get that close to the President?
You don't need a gun or a knife to hurt him. Some heads need to roll.

13. As usual, the general trend here is to 'kill' off the troops...
some higher-up SS official made the decision to admit the party crashers/potential terrorists.

The Indian PM and his wife could have been the targets just as much as the Obamas.

Ain't no info coming from the White House Security staff is there?

Edited on Sun Nov-29-09 03:51 PM by Hutzpa
it is unprecedented to find this kind of breach on an official State Dinner, the idea here
is to send a message to the President.

IMHO this thing runs deeper than whats on the surface right now, there is a lot of questions
that needs answering, questions like....

Who was the person to usher them in?

Who whispered to the usher to let them in?

Who was in charge of the list?

Who was monitoring the guest list?

These are few questions that comes to mind wen thinking of this event.

It's a slight tap on the President to tell him that, you see, we can get to you if we want to,
that's their message.(and this is from my head not from some organization thank you very much)

OK, I have to go back to my hole now, and please, I would like to have my computer back if they
don't mind.

18. There's nothing wrong with your head!
Racism runs so deep in America, I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of longtime WH staffers had teabagger sympathies!

16. Perhaps they could find work as unarmed night watchmen.

Well, I'm not so sure that those responsible for the major screw up would be qualified.
