Ezra v. O'Donnell = Good TV!
Here's the set up....

Ezra likes the bill. (you know THE bill)

Lawrence O'Donnell doesn't.

They begin to debate the issue of how the bill addresses rising premiums and what follows is an intellectual smack down.

Best part is when O'Donnell realizes he's been bested and changes the subject to Dennis Kucinich. :)

From Countdown tonight....
starts at the 7:55 min mark)

Look. I like O'Donnell well enough ... but its clear he's against this bill ... I may like him again in a month but, right now, I have no patience for that attitude.

1. Yeah, that was an interesting exchange
I'm not sure O'Donnell is against the bill per se, I think he's just very cynical. Knowing he's been behind the scenes of the Senate, it's not surprising really.

4. Did you see this one?
approx the 3:30 min mark, he starts parroting the "this bill is opposed to 53% of the American public" GOP BS. (and you'll notice how Barcnacle shuts down THAT argument, then he starts spouting off about "the taxes...."

What kind of self respecting Dem doesn't like taxes? :)

He's a bill killer .... pure and simple.

3. Ezra has been excellent in his reporting on this bill. He hasn't missed a thing.
And in the end, like many of us, he is all for it.

7. I think too, there's a little of, if WE couldn't pass it, no
one else is going to be able to.

Like the Clinton effort wasn't a case study in mistakes not to be made by the Obama Admin.

8. that one was a No Contest
I think we have all been there, I know that I have. When for some reason, be it jealousy, our own ego, whatever, that we are blinded and fight against what we would normally support. Lawrence has been a real prick on the issue and his arguments come across rather petty and not well thought out. You would think he would pick up on his "issues" by watching tapes.

11. O'Donnell is not against the bill. He is against the idea that Obama will pass a bill Moyniham was
not able to pass.

There are quite a few staffers from the Clinton area that have been going around bashing the bill and saying it would not pass.
