The Republicans said that people didn't want health reform!!!!!!
The people who are hit with huge increases in health insurance?

Small businesses who have to choose between going bust and payer for workers' health insurance?

The people who have lost their jobs and health insurance?

The people who are already dead because they couldn't afford healthcare?

Well Mr. Demint it's your party's Waterloo!

2. See how the stupid tea bags aka KKK get their
mis-information from Fox. This bill does not have government owned insurance that you have to buy. Some of the people wish it had. So that's one thing they have wrong already.

And another thing who in the hell told the republican radicals and the tea bags that THEY WERE AMERICA AND THEY SHOULD HAVE BUSH'S COUNTRY BACK.

Seems like more of the people in this country sure don't agree with them.

21. I am reminded of the line
from the Aviator (DiCaprio version) about bribing senators:
"I don't want them bribed, Jack. I want it done legally. I want them bought"

9. You have that backwards. In every poll where the concept is explained, people DO like it.
When left to the mercies of Repub RW propaganda, they say no -- but when told what this bill actually provides, they want it.

Take two aspirin and call back in the morning.

5. In replying to those Republicans, I'd like to quote a Republican
"YOU LIE!"

I've been quoting that guy all day, yelling his words at the TV every time a Republican repeated the same tired bullshit.

10. You don't just get to demand what you want and then
think you should get it.

It doesn't work like that!

Only in your dreams.

11. No. You demand all of what you want and then bargain downward from there
You don't agree from the outset to eat any old shit sandwich just because it has a D stamp on it, and then act shocked when they remove every worthwhile provision in the bill, starting with the public option.

12. No, you got to get organized, mobilized, and work congress......
and the media with letters and shit, and it has to be coordinated and deliberatly planned.

Cause if you think just demanding stuff from Obama is gonna do the trick, you'd be wrong.
That's not how it works. You saw how hard some of us had to work to bring these congressfolks in line for this vote, didn't you? I had to take my ass over to the next district (I'm in a Liberal district so there was nothing to do there) and protest "for" health care reform in order for that congressman to change his vote from no to yes. That's cause there are other forces (propaganda, tea baggers, etc...) working against us as well, and then money and shit. Meaning push back is what is sometimes needed.

Your gameplan is to critique every day in hopes that someone will hear you and agree with you,
and move mountains to see that you get what you want. Again, that's only available in your dreams.

One must work for what they want, especially now, when it is possible (it was impossible under Bush).
In otherwords, we elected a President because we had hope. Well, we had to work for that.
Now he needs our help getting things done, and that will be work too.
Nothing just "happens" cause we want it too. We have to fight for it.
We may not win every battle, or get everything we want,
but if we get something, we build on that, and so on and so forth.

Those who sit on the laurels and expect everything to be handed to them,
will never gain what they want, and if they do, it will be pure luck,
not necessarily by design.

The upcoming elections are a great example.
Either we can work to give ourselves an even bigger majority,
so we can get even more done, or we can sit around and complaint
and be negative and and hope that someone hears us and act on our behalf...
although I can tell you that whatever you get may fall short of what you wanted,
if you weren't truly willing to get out there, and make it happen....
and again, you still may not end up exactly with what you want....
but that's the way it works, in this country, at this time.

Reality is what we are dealing with here, and for you I suspect that means
a shit sandwich.

13. Oh, right none of us ever wrote to our congresscritters about single payer
That must have been what prompted Pelosi to just demand that we stop sending so many of them, because she wan't going to do it.

If doctors are willing to get arrested for single payer, that is not "fighting" in your book?

and they say it everytime they are on camera. So the only conclusion I can come to is that everyone who is for the bill aren't "AMERICAN"...
