Poor Joe Scab. He's watching his (re)-election bid evaporate before his eyes
Edited on Wed Mar-24-10 07:18 AM by Atman
He spent a year thumping his chest, betting everything on failure. Even Mika had to point out to him that this president has accomplished something no president has been able to do in 100 years. Joe thought he'd surf back into office on a wave of Obama hate, yet the polls are in the president's favor. Joe is beside himself.

10. On any given weekday
You can get a virtual transcript of everything that issues forth from Scabro's piehole, plus frequent updates on Mika Mouse's inanities. If Scabro were ever to have an on-air gaseous release, DU would be notified within the minute as to volume, odor & duration.

and I fail to understand those who inflict this sort of pain on themselves. I haven't watched any mass media noise show in years.

8. He was trashing Donny and Lawrence this a.m. Said Donny was "screaming like a girl at
a Beatles concert."

Overnight Joe was proven wrong on his assertion that hcr was sinking in the polls. Donny was proven right. Yesterday Donny said "Don't look at yesterday's polls. Look at tomorrow's." Heh, heh, Donny was RIGHT.

Joe, you are SO SCREWED...

12. Mike Pence couldn't get anyone to his presser yesterday, so...
Morning Shmoe is giving him a soapbox. Ugh.

He even talks about how his wife became ill years ago, while he was unemployed and had no insurance, and he had to relay on a state-sponsored insurance program...so therefore we need TORT REFORM and he shoulda been able to sue someone! Are ALL of these people totally bat-shit crazy?

13. 'Joke' does not want to pay tax on his investment income-altho he's wrong about the $200K threshold
(Media Matters also points out in this post that this Medicare tax on investment income would apply to only 1.3% of small businesses. This is one of the Republicans favorite lies about small businesses. It is not small business they are concerned with, of course. It's 'big business.')

Medicare investment tax does not apply to those earning less than $200,000. The House Rules Committee's section-by-section analysis of the health care reconciliation act states that the 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income -- which takes effect in 2013 -- "does not apply if modified adjusted gross income is less than $250,000 in the case of a joint return, or $200,000 in the case of a single return": (Joe's return, of course, would be a joint return.)

Sec. 1402. Medicare tax. Modifies the tax to include net investment income in the taxable base. Currently, the Medicare tax does not apply to net investment income. The Medicare tax on net investment income does not apply if modified adjusted gross income is less than $250,000 in the case of a joint return, or $200,000 in the case of a single return. Net investment income is interest, dividends, royalties, rents, gross income from a trade or business involving passive activities, and net gain from disposition of property (other than property held in a trade or business). Net investment income is reduced by properly allocable deductions to such income.
